Crop Over Craft In the Works

Thursday, May 21st, 2015

The Barbados Investment and Development Corporation (BIDC) in collaboration with the National Cultural Foundation (NCF) and the Barbados Museum and Historical Society (BMHS), is once again hosting Crop Over Craft Works: Celebrating Barbadian Crafts and Culture, Innovation; Craft and Creativity.
Crop Over Craft Works was conceptualized in 2014 to offer a cultural product to the Crop Over 2014 calendar to replace the “Bridgetown Market comes to Pelican” and to fill the void created by the postponement of the “Artisan & Heritage Festival”.
The event which takes place during Heritage Month, will be held on June 6 2015 at the BMHS’ Dalkeith Road location.
This one day crafts fair is a celebration of Barbadian Crafts and Culture that will showcase the best of the tangible and intangible culture of the island. Traditional and contemporary crafts will be featured alongside culinary fare with added attractions for children. It caters to both locals and visitors and more is the only crafts fair of its caliber.
The event captures the attention of locals and visitors to the island with an interest in heritage and culture.
