| Description: | A group of insightful individuals got together for a few intensive meetings and has now formed the Association of Music Entrepreneurs (AME) of Barbados. This group of professional business persons invites you to become a member of AME so that you can effectively expand your export of music products and services from Barbados! Please check out our Facebook page where you can learn more about us and keep up to date about the activities of the association. The only membership eligibility requirement is that the applicant be a music entrepreneur or company with an export focus. Interested companies must be registered in Barbados. Some of the main benefits of membership will include having access to opportunities created by the association (funding, networking, partnerships etc)., guidance with regards to export initiatives, having a voice in the development of the local music industry, opportunities for mentorship and information exchange, access to timely industry specific information, and access to group membership discounts. The key objectives of AME are: To stimulate the generation of export focused music related products and services. To gain recognition of the music industry as an integral sector that contributes to national economic growth To consistently work towards accessing funding and investment for the promotion of Barbados? music industry To encourage networking and collaboration among local regional and international music industry professionals, To develop the necessary domestic infrastructure that will encourage the export of the products and services of Barbados? creative music sector. The association is receiving guidance and support from Invest Barbados and the Barbados Coalition of Service Industries (BCSI). |
